If I am looking for soft, comfortable bedding, what thread count should my sheets feature? Are there some brands you prefer. I love clean fresh white sheets. Are the wrinkle-free stuff really wrinkle free.? Thanks

I like 500 and above, bed, bath and beyond has good ones.
I know some people like Egyptian cotton with a high thread count, but the sheets are INCREDIBLY hard to keep wrinkle-free. I tried washing in cold water, line drying, cool setting on dryer and they still wrinkle like crazy! Percale is a good wrinkle-free material for sheets, just make sure you get a good brand, don’t buy the cheapies!
MINIMUM thread count would be 250. If you start at 300 then you’re even better off! Wrinkle-free ARE for the most part as long as you take them right out of the machine when they’re done. (Be it the washer or dryer.) Stick with a brand name if you want but if you are high up in the thread count you’ll be fine.
